WonderWorks

One of the most popular and notable attractions at Myrtle Beach’s Broadway at the Beach is WonderWorks. Filled with wonder, fun, stories and science, this attraction is fun for the entire family, from young to old. Great for toddlers, teens and adults, WonderWorks has something that will peak your interest. Filled to the brim with more than 100 displays that involve some sort of participation, WonderWorks is home to some of the most interesting things you will ever experience first-hand. Feel what it’s like to stand in a hurricane, lay on a bed of nails, or move a sphere with your mind. The top floor of this attraction boasts the Spacewalk Challenge where visitors can venture through the 36-foot tall ropes course, with a harness attached to them, and make their way through the various challenges involved with it. Best of all, this ropes course challenge is free with admission! Additional attractions at WonderWorks that can be added to your ticket for a small additional cost include Lazer-Tag and Soar + Explore outdoor attraction. 

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

The $6.5 million Myrtle Beach Boardwalk runs parallel to the Myrtle Beach coast. A recent addition to the long list of popular attractions in Myrtle Beach, the Boardwalk has quickly risen to the top. More than a mile long, the Boardwalk stretches from the 2nd Avenue Pier to slightly past Pier 14. With views of the waves crashing ashore, the gondolas of the SkyWheel and the visitors frolicking along the beach, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is a popular place to people-watch, go for a stroll, get a family photo, have lunch or just enjoy the views. With various benches, walkways to the beach, a park for concerts and special events as well as shops like the Gay Dolphin and restaurants like Landshark and Moe Moons, this is the perfect place for a family to visit while on vacation.

Ripley’s Aquarium

Where can you see sharks up close and touch a sting ray and see a mermaid? At Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach of Course! Located about 20 minutes south of Beach Cove Resort at Broadway at the Beach, Ripley’s Aquarium is a must-visit Myrtle Beach attraction. Perfect for all ages, the aquarium features a variety of exhibits including Rainbow Rock, Dangerous Reef, Ray Bay and the Friendship Flats. Come face to face with a sandbar shark, admire the colors on a poison dart frog or feel the back of a ray as it swims by. Pavilion Park

Go back in time to when the Pavilion was still intact in Myrtle Beach. Although you can’t actually return to the Myrtle Beach Pavilion, you can enjoy the sights, sounds and rides of Pavilion Park in Myrtle Beach. A Broadway at the Beach attraction, this park is home to fun rides for kids like the Kiddie Dunes Buggie Ride, The Caterpillar Ride and the Kiddie Tea Cup Ride. Adults will also enjoy taking a stroll down memory lane on the carousel from 1912, the Wave Swinger or The Pirate Ship ride. Try your hand at one of the midway games like Mini Basketball or Duck Pond and enjoy traditional fair food like cotton candy, corn dogs and funnel cakes at this Myrtle Beach attraction.  

Myrtle Waves Water Park

Located close to Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Waves Waterpark is a fun seasonal water attraction in Myrtle Beach. Located near Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, the Pelicans are a Class A team under the Chicago Cubs. Geared towards fun, the stadium often hosts special game day promotions featuring various discounts and freebies for attendees. Miniature Golf

North Myrtle Beach is full of many fun and exciting mini golf courses. With so many to choose from, you may want to do a different course each day of your vacation! From Mutiny Bay Mini Golf to Mayday Mini Golf to Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf, your choices are endless. Traverse the island you have been stranded on after your plane crashes at Mayday Mini Golf or look out for pirates at Mutiny Bay. At Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf you can ride on a train to reach the top of the mountain where the course begins. No matter which North Myrtle Beach miniature golf course that you choose, you are sure to find yourself embarking on a fun adventure!

Family Kingdom Amusement Park

Family Kingdom Amusement Park is a seasonal Myrtle Beach attraction located about 25 minutes south of Beach Cove Resort. Featuring an amusement park and a water park, this attraction has something fun for the whole family. The Splashes Oceanfront Water Park is located on the ocean side of Ocean Boulevard and features a water slide, lazy river and more. The Amusement Park features a variety of rides like the classic Ferris wheel and bumper cars as well as the Swamp Fox Roller Coaster and the new Twist ‘n Shout Coaster. Kids will enjoy rides made just for them like the 4×4 Big Trucks, Kiddie Coaster, Wet Boats and Frog Hopper. Family Kingdom Amusement Park also features two go-kart tracks, an arcade, midway games, snack stand, seasonal entertainment and various additional rides.

Brookgreen Gardens

Located south of Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet is Brookgreen Gardens – a gem of the southern historical scene. Although Brookgreen Gardens is about a 45-minute drive from Beach Cove Resort, it is well worth the trip. An outside museum set amongst grandiose oaks, the gardens are a National Historic Landmark containing the Huntington Sculpture Garden and the Low Country Wildlife Preserve. Enjoy viewing more than 1,400 pieces of art amongst the 35 acres of the gardens. The Lowcountry History and Wildlife Preserve sits upon thousands of acres including former rice plantations. The gardens also have animal exhibits containing foxes, alligators, deer and birds as well as dining options, a gift shop, picnic spaces and fountains. Create lasting memories at Brookgreen Gardens and experience the culture, art and scenic beauty of the south at this popular attraction.

Wild, Water & Wheels

Located south of Myrtle Beach in Surfside Beach, Wild Water & Wheels is a summer water attraction that has more than just waterslides. With mini golf, go-karts and kiddie rides, Wild Water & Wheels is perfect for the whole family. Shoot down the Dark Hole water slide or feel the rush as you swoop down on the Triple Dip. For those who aren’t a fan of any of their 24 water slides, this water attractions also features a 950-foot lazy river, bumper boats, lounge pool and surging wave pool.  In addition to attractions, Wild Water & Wheels also has sundecks, picnic spaces, cabana rentals, a gift shop and a snack bar. Alligator Adventure

The Reptile Capital of the World, Alligator Adventure is located not far from Beach Cove Resort near Barefoot Landing. Stay at a safe distance and get amazing views of a variety of alligators as well as crocodiles, frogs, snakes and turtles. Meet Bob, the tailless American alligator, or Utan, one of the biggest crocs on display in the U.S. weighing in at 2,000 pounds. If you are lucky you will get to see alligator informational shows and you may even get to touch a gator. At Alligator Adventure you can view non-reptile animals as well like the African serval, Eurasian eagle owl, Egyptian fruit bats, sarus cranes and ring tailed lemurs, just to name a few. This North Myrtle Beach attraction is perfect for any animal lover and for those who want to learn more about the alligators and other species during their vacation.

Calabash Fishing Fleet

Located just over the border in North Carolina, Calabash Fishing Fleet is only less than a half hour drive from Beach Cove Resort. They offer a variety of cruises from short to long for fishing purposes as well as dolphin sightseeing excursions. For serious fishing enthusiasts, they offer an 11-hour trip on their Navigator vessel, a half-day fishing outing, and shark fishing journeys. Catch a variety of fish like black sea bass, cobia, rudderfish, grunts and jacks. For non-fishing fans, Calabash Fishing Fleet offers a guaranteed-sighting dolphin cruise on their 65-foot Navigator boat. Children’s Museum of South Carolina

The Children’s Museum of South Carolina is one of the more popular attractions in the area for families with young children. Located on Oak Street in Myrtle Beach, the Children’s Museum has an assortment of interactive displays for children. Through learning, play and sensory experience, young children and toddlers can have an educational experience while still having a good time at the museum. With exhibits like Famous Fraction Pizza Delivery Truck, Fossil Hunt and It’s Electric, kids never stop having fun at this attraction. La Belle Amie Vineyard

Wine lovers will enjoy a fantastic visit to La Belle Amie Vineyard, located only about 8 miles north of Beach Cove Resort in Little River. Take a short drive up to this local vineyard and experience all La Belle Amie has to offer. Sip on various varietals at their expansive wine tasting room. Here you can request to sample six wines (your choice) for a small charge, plus you get to keep a souvenir wine glass. SkyWheel Myrtle Beach

An oceanfront attraction, the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel takes visitors high in the sky in enclosed gondolas. This Ferris wheel is unique in that it provides views on the ocean, downtown Myrtle Beach and the Ocean Boulevard strip. Whether you choose to ride during the day to get the best ocean views, or at sunset to watch the color of the sky change, or at night when the SkyWheel itself illuminates the night sky and the lights of Myrtle Beach twinkle below, you will have a magnificent time. California Dreaming has a location just 1.3 miles from our resort! This nearby restaurant can cater to large groups, families and friends! Well known for their delicious croissants, large salads, ribs and seafood, this restaurant serves up a large variety of lunch and dinner choices. From Fried Crab Claws to Steak Salad to Baby Back Ribs, the choices are endless. They also serve up pasta, chicken and soup. You won’t be disappointed when you visit California Dreaming Myrtle Beach!

Croissants Bistro and Bakery

A local favorite, Croissants Bistro and Bakery features a delicious and fresh menu as well as a bakery that specializes in cakes, cupcakes and other sweets. Serving up breakfast, lunch, and brunch, Croissants features favorites like Southern Breakfast Wrap, Low Country Shrimp and Grits, Spinach and Strawberry Salad, Shrimp Tacos, Spring Rolls, Crepes De Jour, French Onion Soup and Pan Seared Scallops, just to name a few. With a menu created by Chef Aaron Sanchez, the Crossroads at the House of Blues features delicious appetizers, American classics, fish, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a kids menu. Choose from Spicy Chicken Pasta, St. Louis Ribs, Heater Seeker, Pulled Pork Sliders, Chicken Wings or Crossroads Quesadilla just to name a few. The House of Blues is also home to the popular Sunday Gospel Brunch, and it is located right across the street at Barefoot Landing!

Dick’s Last Resort

Conveniently located at Barefoot Landing, Dick’s Last Resort turns lunch and dinner into quite the spectacle. Calling itself “The Shame O’ Barefoot Landing,” the servers are trained to poke fun and create a scene all throughout the meal, making it entertaining, funny and memorable. Featuring dishes like Crabby Cakes, Seafood Platta, Ribs N’ Wings, Fry’d Buffalo Chicky Salad and Buffalo Ranch Chicky Sammich, you’ll laugh just reading the menu!

Town Center at Beach Cove Resort

You don’t have to leave our resort to find the best food in the area! Enjoy gorgeous ocean views while dining at the Tipsy Turtle Beach Bar or the Grab N’ Go Grill & Coffee Bar, both located next to our lobby in our Town Center.  The Town Center offers delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizer, and drink options.

The Market Common

The Market Common, located near the airport in Myrtle Beach, is an upscale shopping, dining and entertainment neighborhood. Spend the afternoon at The Market Common while you enjoy superb shopping, tasty restaurants and accessible entertainment. With clothing shops like Coldwater Creek, Chico’s and Coastal Urge and housewares stores like Pottery Barn and Rug Décor, there is nothing lacking in style at The Market Common. Grab a book and a cup of coffee at Barnes & Noble or smell the latest scents at Bath & Body Works then head over to dinner at Travinia Italian Kitchen. The Market Common is also home to a movie theater, yoga studio, grocery store and more.

Coastal Grand Mall

Located in Myrtle Beach, not far from the airport, sits Coastal Grand Mall. Featuring a range of shops as well as a movie theater and food court, this mall is one you can spend an entire day at. Whether you want to get a new recliner at La-Z-Boy Galleries or shop the sale rack at Belk, you can do it all here. Shops at this Myrtle Beach mall include Bed Bath & Beyond, Earthbound Trading Co., Sears, Gymboree and many more. The food court contains such favorites as Chick-fil-A, Sbarro, Mrs. Fields and Chef Smitty’s. Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach is a shopping and dining hub, similar to Barefoot Landing. Located farther south than Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach is home to some of the most visited Myrtle Beach attractions like Ripley’s Aquarium and WonderWorks. Fun for meandering with your family during the day and full of nightlife in the evening, Broadway at the Beach is a great family and couple’s destination. Wind your way through the Backstage Mirror Maze, try your hand at Dragon’s Lair Mini Golf, or whip over the lake on the Soar + Explore Zipline. Dining options are also abundant and include choices like Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery, Ben & Jerry’s, Walbergers, Froyoz and Landry’s Seafood. After the sun sets, The Avenue becomes one of the hottest nightlife spots at the beach. Barefoot Landing

Located less than a mile from Beach Cove Resort, Barefoot Landing is home to some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment on the north end of Myrtle Beach. Pirate’s Voyage Dinner & Show

Pirate’s Voyage Dinner Attraction is located only about five miles south of Beach Cove Resort. The former Dixie Stampede, Dolly Parton has “wowed” visitors again with her new Pirate’s Voyage show. Guests enjoy a full-fledged dinner during the show which includes creamy soup, potatoes, corn on the cob, chicken and pork while cheering on their assigned team. Whether you are cheering for the Crimson crew or the Sapphire crew, you are sure to have a blast at this Myrtle Beach show. Watch as the pirates duel each other on the deck, dive into the pool and perform feats of wonder in and around the 15-foot deep pool complete with a large ship. Combining music, an amazing acrobatic show, choreography and great talent, Pirate’s Voyage is a must-see show on your next Beach Cove vacation.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament

Medieval Times is a Myrtle Beach dinner show that is fun for the whole family. Take a step back in time and enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the medieval days. Watch as your knight competes in the tournament and cheer them on as they fight until the end with weapons such as maces, alabardas and lances. With highly trained horses, elaborate costumes and talented knights, this show is a spectacular event. Alabama Theatre

Alabama Theatre, located at Barefoot Landing, provides visitors with high-class shows and touring artist performances. Carolina Opry

Located only about 5 miles south of Beach Cove Resort is the popular Carolina Opry.
