Will You Get Wet?
Will you end up in the water? Not necessarily. With operators such as New Wave, you take off and land directly on the parasail boat, and dipping your feet or body into the ocean during the flight is optional.
You can also just tell the crew you'd prefer to stay dry! However, don't arrive dressed for dinner just yet: some North Myrtle Beach operators use a banana boat to shuttle passengers from the beach to the parasail boat, so splashing along the way is very possible.
When to Go
Parasailing is primarily a warm-weather activity in North Myrtle Beach, with schedules heavily dependent on the season, wind, waves, and daily weather conditions. Summer offers the most dependable availability, but even on a sunny July afternoon, conditions can change.
Booking earlier in the day can sometimes mean calmer water!

Their parasailing offering is an 8–10-minute flight with a banana-boat transfer from the beach to the parasail boat. Riders take off and land on the boat – dunking during the flight is optional! The company likes to say it “welcomes passengers from ages 5 to 90”!

Bringing the “Aloha spirit” to the East Coast is the fantastic team at Aloha Watersports. It’s safe to say they’ve perfected the art of the parasailing flight. Guests of all ages are invited to get a bird’s eye view of the Intracoastal Waterway and the stunning beaches of South Carolina.
Flights last 10–15 minutes, with roughly 30–45 minutes for the overall experience. They offer tandem and triple flights, professional photos, and currently have no minimum age, although riders must meet a 35-pound minimum weight.

While not in North Myrtle Beach, it is just about 15 miles outside of town.
With their most popular parasailing tours, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of the Grand Strand and the Atlantic Ocean that cannot compare. You’ll take a quick ride on a banana boat from the beach to the boat, where you’ll be lifted high into the sky as you soar to your heart’s content.
Up to 6 people can hop on board the parasail boat, and each flight can take 1-3 people simultaneously. Your trip takes about 45 minutes in total; however, only about 10 minutes of that will be in the air.
When you’re finished, you can opt for a digital photo card to remember the adventure of a lifetime. Take note: there are some restrictions. You must be at least 42 inches tall to ride, and there is a 250-pound weight limit per person with a 450-pound weight limit on each flight.
