Waterfront Dining in Myrtle Beach

Who says enjoying the beach has to be limited to the time you spend there? Take full advantage of our sandy shores by enjoying some of the scenic waterfront dining. Whether you choose to dine oceanfront or riverfront, you are sure to have your breath taken away time and time again. Oceanfront dining allows guests to take in the ocean breeze and the soothing sounds of the waves while riverfront dining offers sunset views and the chance to take in boats cruising up and down the channel. Check out the area’s top waterfront dining and make these restaurants a part of your Myrtle Beach tradition:

Barefoot Landing – Just a short drive from Beach Cove Resort, this scenic outdoor venue offers several riverfront restaurants that offer spectacular water views. Dress to impress for first class chops at Greg Norman’s Australian Grille. This upscale eatery offers flawless service and char-grilled entrees that are cooked to perfection. Flying Fish Market is another waterfront favorite and the place to go for seafood. Other waterfront favorites include Smoking Hot Grill & BBQ, Castano’s Italian Steakhouse, and Joe’s Crab Shack.

Sea Captain’s House – History is at the heart of this classic oceanfront eatery as it has been a favorite among locals and visitors alike for over 75 years. This venue is perfect for those seeking a true taste of Myrtle Beach. The menu is simple and offers classic seafood and steak dishes – but don’t let that fool you. Execution is what separates this restaurant from the rest; sure, you can get seafood just about anywhere is Myrtle Beach, but where can you get the best seafood? The professional service and breathtaking Atlantic vistas are just the icing on the cake. Call (843) 448-8082 for more information.

Bandito’s Cantina – Located along the scenic Myrtle Beach boardwalk, this waterfront cantina offers a south of the border variety to the usual seafood options. Enjoy a variety of fresh Latin cuisine, like fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and more! In the mood for something a little non-traditional? Try one of Bandito’s signature entrees, like the macadamia crusted trout or the mojo chicken. Of course, you can’t have Mexican without a margarita – and the bartenders at this area favorite do not disappoint! Sit on their oceanfront outdoor patio and soak up the sun while sipping on a tasty adult beverage. Call (843) 839-4089 for more information.

Damon’s Grill – What could be better than enjoying finger licking BBQ while listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean? This dream can become a reality at Damon’s Grill! Located on the southern end of Myrtle Beach, this hometown favorite serves up the best BBQ on the strand. From their fall off the bone tender ribs to their flavorful pulled pork, the meats here are smoked and slow roasted in house and topped off by Damon’s own house BBQ sauce. That, paired with the home style sides, will have you waddling back to the beach. Call (843) 626-8000 for more information.

Bonus: Murrells Inlet MarshWalk – Located a short drive from the beach in Murrells Inlet, the seafood capital of the state, this inlet-front venue features nine unique local restaurants all connected via an oceanfront boardwalk. The restaurants vary in what they specialize in; Bovine’s is known for their woodfired pizzas while Wahoo’s is known for their fresh daily catches. New to the MarshWalk is Wicked Tuna, an Asian inspired eatery that serves up the best sushi on the south end. The restaurants here all feature live music after dinner hours and the Marsh Walk transforms into a popping night scene where guests travel up and down the boardwalk from bar to bar. Though it is a bit off the beaten path, this scenic venue is certainly worth the trip.
