St. Patrick’s Day Events in Myrtle Beach
Spring is just around the corner and things are slowly but surely heating up in North Myrtle Beach. If you are planning on enjoying an early spring getaway at the beach during the month of March, make plans to come during St. Patrick’s Day Weekend as the beach puts on one of the biggest celebrations of the season. St. Patrick’s Day Festival
Head to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk to take part in the annual St. Patrick’s Day festival, which will take place over two days this year! Enjoy all of the attractions of newly renovated Boardwalk in addition to live seaside entertainment, roaming street performers, and a wide variety of vendors on March 14 and 15. The adults in the group may also enjoy exclusive access to the beach’s largest Irish Beer Garden. The kids won’t be left out, though, as this festival boasts a large kid’s carnival with rides, games, face painting, and much more. This festival will run 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 27th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade is taking place right up the road from Beach Cove Resort in North Myrtle Beach on March 14. Gather along Main Street to take in this lively spectacle featuring a variety of local and regional floats, all decked out in rainbows of green. The parade starts at 9 a.m. and is the opening ceremony for the festival that follows. The festival takes place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will feature live entertainment, a wide array of food and craft vendors, and a large children’s play area.
Flynn’s Irish Tavern
If you are looking for an authentic Irish experience, you may want to check out Flynn’s Irish Tavern, one of the few Irish pubs in the area! Located on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, this tavern is just a short drive from Beach Cove Resort. Here you can sip on a pint of Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's or even Magners Cider.
