June Events Roundup
Summer has officially hit the beach and the area is bustling with activity! Though our pristine shores are the main draw to the area, you are bound to get your fill of the sand and the salt at some point, and when that happens – fret not – as there will be plenty of other things to keep you busy during you stay in Myrtle Beach. Check out some of the top events happening in our area for the month of June and add a few to your vacation itinerary:
Hot Summer Nights – Ongoing; All Summer Long
Looking to enjoy a night out on the town? Head to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk any evening during the week to take advantage of the Hot Summer Nights promotion. This fun, family friendly event will feature a variety of free entertainment throughout the week. Check out the kids’ carnival on Monday nights which feature games, inflatables, face painting, and much more or stick around on Saturday evenings for a spectacular fireworks show over the Atlantic. Other nights will offer open-air concerts by the sea and various roaming entertainment. Just head to the Boardwalk to take part in the fun!
Corvettes at The Beach – June 6th
Whether you are a devout ‘vette lover or just an occasional car enthusiast, the Corvette Car Show is sure to catch your eye. This is the 20th year for this exciting event and it has grown to attract guests from around the country. Come and view over 300 pristine Corvettes and connect with car lovers from around the nation. And, this event’s convenient location at Broadway at the Beach makes it easy for you and your family to enjoy plenty of other entertainment as well. This colorful event takes place from 10am – 3:30pm.
American Pie Oldies Music Fest – June 6th
Grab your family and a few friends and head north to Little River to check out the American Pie Oldies Fest. Held at the scenic La Belle Amie Vineyard, this festival will feature two live bands, The Party Favor and Shamalama, and mouthwatering fare compliments of Smokin’ Pitt BBQ and The Vineyard Grill. Guests will also be able to take advantage of a complimentary vineyard tour and, of course, plenty of wine! This event is a great way to get out and enjoy the gorgeous Grand Strand weather. Movies at McLean – June 12th
Gather your family and head over to McLean Park on June 12th, located just up the road from Beach Cove Resort, to enjoy a free movie under the stars! This month, the featured movie is “Planes, Fire and Rescue”; a recent film that is popular among guests young and old. Bring chairs and blankets and settle in for a night full of fun! The movie starts 15 minutes after sunset, though coming a bit early for a good spot is encouraged. There will also be plenty of snacks for sale compliments of the North Myrtle Beach Lions Club in case you get hungry.
