WonderWorks

One of the most popular and notable attractions at Myrtle Beach’s Broadway at the Beach is WonderWorks. Filled with wonder, fun, stories and science, this attraction is fun for the entire family, from young to old. Great for toddlers, teens and adults, WonderWorks has something that will peak your interest. Filled to the brim with more than 100 displays that involve some sort of participation, WonderWorks is home to some of the most interesting things you will ever experience first-hand. Feel what it’s like to stand in a hurricane, lay on a bed of nails, or move a sphere with your mind. The top floor of this attraction boasts the Spacewalk Challenge where visitors can venture through the 36-foot tall ropes course, with a harness attached to them, and make their way through the various challenges involved with it. Best of all, this ropes course challenge is free with admission! Additional attractions at WonderWorks that can be added to your ticket for a small additional cost include Lazer-Tag and Soar + Explore outdoor attraction. 

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

The $6.5 million Myrtle Beach Boardwalk runs parallel to the Myrtle Beach coast. A recent addition to the long list of popular attractions in Myrtle Beach, the Boardwalk has quickly risen to the top. More than a mile long, the Boardwalk stretches from the 2nd Avenue Pier to slightly past Pier 14. With views of the waves crashing ashore, the gondolas of the SkyWheel and the visitors frolicking along the beach, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is a popular place to people-watch, go for a stroll, get a family photo, have lunch or just enjoy the views. Ripley’s Aquarium

An inexpensive family vacation activity, a Myrtle Beach Pelicans Baseball Game at TicketReturn.com Field is a popular summertime activity for vacationers and locals alike. Located near Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, the Pelicans are a Class A team under the Chicago Cubs. Family Kingdom Amusement Park is a seasonal Myrtle Beach attraction located about 25 minutes south of Beach Cove Resort. The Splashes Oceanfront Water Park is located on the ocean side of Ocean Boulevard and features a water slide, lazy river and more. The Amusement Park features a variety of rides like the classic Ferris wheel and bumper cars as well as the Swamp Fox Roller Coaster and the new Twist ‘n Shout Coaster. Brookgreen Gardens

Located south of Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet is Brookgreen Gardens – a gem of the southern historical scene. Although Brookgreen Gardens is about a 45-minute drive from Beach Cove Resort, it is well worth the trip. An outside museum set amongst grandiose oaks, the gardens are a National Historic Landmark containing the Huntington Sculpture Garden and the Low Country Wildlife Preserve. Enjoy viewing more than 1,400 pieces of art amongst the 35 acres of the gardens. The Lowcountry History and Wildlife Preserve sits upon thousands of acres including former rice plantations. The gardens also have animal exhibits containing foxes, alligators, deer and birds as well as dining options, a gift shop, picnic spaces and fountains. Alligator Adventure

The Reptile Capital of the World, Alligator Adventure is located not far from Beach Cove Resort near Barefoot Landing. Meet Bob, the tailless American alligator, or Utan, one of the biggest crocs on display in the U.S. weighing in at 2,000 pounds. If you are lucky you will get to see alligator informational shows and you may even get to touch a gator. At Alligator Adventure you can view non-reptile animals as well like the African serval, Eurasian eagle owl, Egyptian fruit bats, sarus cranes and ring tailed lemurs, just to name a few. Calabash Fishing Fleet

Located just over the border in North Carolina, Calabash Fishing Fleet is only less than a half hour drive from Beach Cove Resort. They offer a variety of cruises from short to long for fishing purposes as well as dolphin sightseeing excursions. For serious fishing enthusiasts, they offer an 11-hour trip on their Navigator vessel, a half-day fishing outing, and shark fishing journeys. Catch a variety of fish like black sea bass, cobia, rudderfish, grunts and jacks. For non-fishing fans, Calabash Fishing Fleet offers a guaranteed-sighting dolphin cruise on their 65-foot Navigator boat. SkyWheel Myrtle Beach

An oceanfront attraction, the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel takes visitors high in the sky in enclosed gondolas. This Ferris wheel is unique in that it provides views on the ocean, downtown Myrtle Beach and the Ocean Boulevard strip. From Fried Crab Claws to Steak Salad to Baby Back Ribs, the choices are endless. They also serve up pasta, chicken and soup. You won’t be disappointed when you visit California Dreaming Myrtle Beach!

Croissants Bistro and Bakery

A local favorite, Croissants Bistro and Bakery features a delicious and fresh menu as well as a bakery that specializes in cakes, cupcakes and other sweets. Serving up breakfast, lunch, and brunch, Croissants features favorites like Southern Breakfast Wrap, Low Country Shrimp and Grits, Spinach and Strawberry Salad, Shrimp Tacos, Spring Rolls, Crepes De Jour, French Onion Soup and Pan Seared Scallops, just to name a few. With a menu created by Chef Aaron Sanchez, the Crossroads at the House of Blues features delicious appetizers, American classics, fish, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a kids menu. Choose from Spicy Chicken Pasta, St. Louis Ribs, Heater Seeker, Pulled Pork Sliders, Chicken Wings or Crossroads Quesadilla just to name a few. The House of Blues is also home to the popular Sunday Gospel Brunch, and it is located right across the street at Barefoot Landing!

Dick’s Last Resort

Conveniently located at Barefoot Landing, Dick’s Last Resort turns lunch and dinner into quite the spectacle. Calling itself “The Shame O’ Barefoot Landing,” the servers are trained to poke fun and create a scene all throughout the meal, making it entertaining, funny and memorable. Town Center at Beach Cove Resort

You don’t have to leave our resort to find the best food in the area! Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
