Memories

Thirty years ago my husband and I vacationed in Myrtle Beach and fell in love with it!

One summer a couple years later we discovered "THE COVE" which would eventually be the best memories of our lives and the lives of three wonderful little grandchildren!

Each year as we sat on the beach and saw all the fun going on and enjoying the wonderful warm water, we would say, can't wait to bring the kids here. By this time we had the three grandchildren.

Finally the "dream" came true and they were old enough to come with Nanny and Grampa for vacation at "The Cove", they were then 3, 6, and 7.  What a time they had!!!  That time with them, I call "The Sunshine of our lives"

We had a room directly overlooking the pool, all the beautiful flowers and the palm trees, which we never saw in MA. The kids were beside themselves with excitement.  Say to this day, "The Cove" and they start with all their great memories. We laugh and talk about it for hours. They remember the lazy river, swimming at 10 o'clock at night, using the jacuzzi, running to the beach, etc. etc. loved their room and balcony, how they loved it there.

As things happen in this life, due to problems, we eventually wound up raising them, we were given custody of all three, the oldest today is 25, his sister 24, and the "baby" at the time who is 20 has been in the Army in Iraq for almost a year and with the help of God, he will be on his way home soon.

The best memorories of their lives has been time spent at "The Cove", they were always so happy there, right now they are talking about all getting together there, again someday soon.

The "Cove is a fabulous place, if you want to just rest, have fun, eat, have a drink, play games, nightlife, fun for the kids, it has it all and makes for many wonderful memories.

We are in our seventies now and retired in Murrells Inlet, but a part of my heart will always be in "The Cove" with my grandchildren and those wonderful 'memories. 

I would jut love to give them all one more trip to our "Cove".
