Memories

My boyfriend, Stephen, and I rented a 1 BR condo at the Beach Cove Resort on February 5th - 7th, 2011, planning a relaxing weekend away. We checked in on Saturday night and were both pleasantly surprised at how wonderful our room was. The view was amazing and the layout of the room was perfect. Sunday morning and afternoon were a perfect, quiet time to relax. We had breakfast downstairs at the cafe and a light lunch in town while shopping. We came back to our room and after a little while, Stephen went downstairs to see what time the bar closed. After he had been gone for quite a few minutes, he came back upstairs and was completely out of breath and sweating. He said he had taken the stairs. He rested for a couple of minutes and then asked me to come out onto the balcony with him. I resisted a couple of times because I was cozy in the bed and it was chilly on the balcony. After he insisted, I did go out onto the balcony. As I stepped out, I could see written on the beach in tremendously large letters "Leann Will You Marry Me". I gasped and turned to look at Stephen. He was down on one knee with a beautiful engagement ring in his hand. He asked me to marry him and I said yes! We are planning our wedding on 9.10.11, hopefully to be held on the beach where Stephen proposed with a reception at the Beach Cove Resort (as soon as he calls to make the reservations lol). We will always remember the Beach Cove Resort as the place where our lives together began :)
