Memories

Each year our family takes a summer vacation the week of July 4th.  In the past we have chosen destinations such as the Outer Banks of NC and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN.  But after a visit to The Beach Cove in Sept. 2010, we decided our 2011 7-day vacation would be spent at TBC.  We arrived July 2, 2011 around 11:30 a.m. and were able to check in immediately.  We were so excited that we unpacked and headed for the pools!  My 5 year old could hardly contain her excitement in the elevator on the way down.  We had a terrific time all week long, but when Friday arrived, and we prepared to depart, my husband was the one that decided he was not ready to go home!  After a brief discussion (10 seconds at the most) he grabbed his wallet and headed down stairs to extend our stay 1 more night.  Our request to stay another night, and not change rooms, was quickly granted!  We even got the current discounted rate!!  When we did finally pack July 10th to head home, my daughter was very sad and even shed some tears.  She asked if we come back next week.  As much as I would have loved to say yes, I told her we would be back soon.  She said bye to our room, the pools, the beach, the lobby and finally TBC as we pulled out of the parking deck.  We do plan to return once more in 2011, but more importantly, we look forward to next July and a week long (or more) vacation to TBC!  Thanks for everything!
