We are excited to announce that Beach Cove has been selected as one of the host resorts for a wonderful event that has been put together by the New Jersey Firemen's Benevolent Association and our air partner, Myrtle Beach Direct Air, the FLASH (Firemen's Land And Sea Holiday) Golf and Fishing Fundraiser with proceeds going to the families of the "Charleston 9", a group of courageous men who lost their lives while fighting a fire on June 18, 2007.
This event, the first national fundraiser put on by the NJFMBA, will be held November 12 -16 and will feature golf at area golf courses including Blackmoor, Arrowhead, Wild Wing, Caledonia, True Blue and others, and deep sea fishing trips for the non golfers. Organized events will be hosted by Martin's PGA Tour SuperStore and 2001 Nightclub as part of the package.
While attendance for this inaugural event is expected at anywhere from 500 - 1000 participants comprised of firefighters and friends from all over the country, the event is open to the public to assist in raising funds for this great cause.
