With the recent opening of Hard Rock Park, Myrtle Beach has added another great venue for live music and entertainment.  Whether your cup of tea is rock, country, pop, jazz, classical or Broadway, Myrtle Beach offers something for everyone.  Great shows such as Alabama Theatre's "One: The Show", Carolina Opry and Legends in Concert have been wowing Grand Strand audiences for decades, while other venues such as the House of Blues, the Palace Theatre and now Hard Rock Park offer a variety of different live performances.

Check out a sampling of the schedules of some of the great Myrtle Beach entertainment venues:

Alabama Theatre
One: The Show - Monday through Saturday (excluding nights of celebrity concerts)

Carolina Opry
The Carolina Opry offers the standard variety show and the Good Vibrations show which pays tribute to the popular music of the 60's, 70's and 80's.

Hard Rock Park
It's pretty clear that we are excited about the opening of Hard Rock Park and the amusement attraction that it brings to Myrtle Beach.  What adds to our excitement are the live music events that the park will be hosting.  In addition to the continous performances that perform live at the park, such as Malibu Beach Party, the Fab Two and the Roadies Stunt Show, there are a number of headline acts scheduled to perform throughout the summer.

The current Hard Rock Park schedule is:
May 23 - George Clinton & Parliament Funk
June 2 - The Eagles (Grand Opening Special Event)
June 3 - The Moody Blues (Grand Opening Special Event)
July 4 - Sister Hazel
August 30 - KC and the Sunshine Band
Specialty Show - June 28 - July 22 - Toxic Audio
As well as a variety of other emerging artists performing throughout the summer.

House of Blues
In addition to a great menu in its unique restaurant, the House of Blues offers a great variety of entertainment.  In addition to summer concerts ranging from hot national acts such as Natasha Bedingfield, Modest Mouse, Foreigner and Hootie and the Blowfish, among many others, the HOB, as we call it locally, hosts other great entertainment offerings such as live comedy shows, a murder mystery dinner theatre and its famed Sunday Gospel Brunch.

Legends In Concert
Want to see Elvis?  How about the Beatles?  Maybe the Blues Brothers? Or even Ol' Blue Eyes?

Well obviously you won't be able to see the real deal unless you load up the DVD player, but you can check out some incredible live tribute acts that are so impressive they just might have you scratching your head thinking that you must have gone back in time.  Legends In Concert typically performs Monday through Saturday.

The Long Bay Symphony Orchestra

The Long Bay Symphony Orchestra recently celebrated its 20th year performing and continues to entertain Grand Strand crowds of all ages.   While the next concert performance has not been announced, the symphony performs 25-30 concerts per year and performed in front of over 30,000 people last year alone.   Bookmark the link below and keep tabs on the next symphont event....it will be well worth checking out!

The Palace Theatre
The Palace offers two great house shows, Le Grande Cirque, an amazing artistic and athletic performance reminiscent of a Cirque du Soleil-style show, and The Magical Spirit of Ireland, a celebration of Irish folk music and dance, similar to the Lord of the Dance show.  The Palace is also home to a variety of Off Broadway musical shows as they make their way through Myrtle Beach, featuring upcoming performances such as Legally Blonde and other great performances,

With all of the great venues in Myrtle Beach, there is clearly a choice for everyone to snap your fingers and tap your toes this summer!
