The Democratic Party takes to the Palace Theatre tonight as the Congressional Black Caucus Institute host Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards in the second of two presidential debates that have been dubbed as the most important events in the history of Myrtle Beach, SC. This debate plays a major role in the presidential race as the SC Democratic Primary is held on Saturday, January 26. After a strong showing in Myrtle Beach, John McCain came away from the SC Republican Primary as the victor.
Once again though, Team Sandtastic wins the title of Best Non-Partisan Sand Castle Stars....or at least they would if there was such a title! After putting on quite a display with the creation of Mount Myrtle showcasing the six Republican candidates, the champion sand castle team braved some wet and mucky conditions to build the Democratic version of the Mount Rushmore-like castle featuring Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards, as well as SC Rep. and founder of the CBCI, Jim Clyburn.
