Myrtle Beach Pelicans Minor League Baseball
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves can be seen strutting’ their stuff in the heart of Myrtle Beach at BB&T Coastal Field, located just across the street from Broadway at the Beach.
In 2008, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, began their 10th season of play at BB&T Coastal Field, located across the street from Broadway at the Beach. Winner of the coveted Mills Cup Championship in 1999 and 2000, the team has turned out 46 major league players through the first seven years of franchise history. Notable former Myrtle Beach Pelicans include Rafael Furcal, Marcus Giles, Adam LaRoche, Jeff Francoeur, Brian McCann, and more.
The excitement is not only on the diamond at Coastal Federal Field. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are a favorite for family fun, with something for everyone. Post-Game Fireworks, Thirsty Thursdays, on-field games, and great giveaways make Pelicans baseball a winner for locals and visitors alike. In 2008, The Caravelle was fortunate to host the Carolina League and California League All Star teams as the future stars of Major League Baseball squared off in the thrilling all star game!
