Meadowlands Golf Club
Immediately after it opened, Meadowlands Golf Club received honors as one of the "Top 10 Best New Courses" from North Carolina Magazine and has since earned a place on the prestigious Golf for Women list of "Top 100 Women-Friendly Courses." After your first round at this scenic and relaxing 7,045 yard course, you’ll understand why.
Respected architect Willard Byrd put his personal stamp on Meadowlands with distinctive parkland features that follow the lay of the land through mature woods bordered by serene meadows, pristine lakes and vast wetlands. Spacious, gently sloping fairways offer a surprising variety of elevation changes that present a multitude of challenges as they open onto large, immaculately manicured greens. Built to Audubon International guidelines, this course delivers championship quality and offers ample opportunities to view area wildlife in their natural habitat.
Combining challenging play in pleasant surroundings, Meadowlands is so enjoyable that the course quickly makes the list of “must-return” venues for many Grand Strand visitors. Five sets of tees, an open layout, well-defined hazards and exemplary attention to detail create a rewarding round for everyone who comes ready to play. Superb conditioning of the Tif Dwarf Bermuda greens and Bermuda tees, fairways and roughs creates an experience that stands above many area courses. It’s no wonder Meadowlands has earned the title, "The hidden gem of the Carolinas.”
